Training Courses for Teaching English in Ministry

Building Bridges with English Level 1 is a two-week online course for those interested in gaining an overview of teaching English as ministry, whether in the U.S. or overseas, and focuses on general principles. This course is intended for those who want to help in an existing or developing English ministry and as a foundation for those who want to serve as a teacher in an English program. Level 1 is a prerequisite for Level 2.

Building Bridges with English Level 2 is a two-week online course primarily for those interested in teaching English in an English program. It focuses on the “how-tos” of teaching English with the goal of developing a teaching activity that can be used in the classroom. The second part of the course focuses on teaching in specific contexts—1) church-based programs, 2) overseas programs and 3) English teaching for refugees in the U.S. Participants must complete Level 1 before enrolling in Level 2.

Making Friends With English is a two-week, online training course designed for short-term teams from EFCA churches going to serve at English camps. We can work with you and your ReachGlobal missionary contact to set up a training schedule suitable for your team. It should begin at least two months prior to your planned departure.
